Bath Print Shop: The Medium Is The Message

We are excited to be showcasing three posters from the Bath Fringe Festival exhibition ‘The Medium is the Message’ here in the window of our print gallery. The exhibition is running in galleries and windows across the city centre until 27th June 2026.

Of the three posters in our window, the ‘Linton Kwesi Johnson’ and ‘Walcot Sunshine Festival’ prints are from the pioneering Bath Community Print Shop, which flourished from 1977 till 1983. For the cost of materials you could learn how to screen-print posters for your band, your event or your campaign and be supported by a skilled team. 

 The ‘Bring Back Disco’ print is part of a contemporary response to the themes and aesthetics of the archived work specially produced for this show by illustration and graphics  students from Bath Spa University.
