14 issues of The Times covering the General Strike.

£500.00

GENERAL STRIKE ISSUES

Each printed on both sides of a single folio sheet [ 335 x 203 mm].
5th - 17th May 1926.

The Times was reduced to printing these single sheet issues during the General Strike. Besides the 11 daily issues for Wednesday 5th May - Monday 17th May (the paper was not published on a Sunday), there is an Imperial and Foreign Trade and Engineering Supplement dated Saturday 8th May (printed on one side only), and two issues of the Weekly Edition, dated Saturday 8th May (one side only) and Saturday 15th May. They are almost as good as new, having been kept in an envelope. They offer the most fascinating insight into the times, covering both monumental and mundane matters (including the weather forecast, county cricket scores and daily Broadcasting Programme).
