Small 8vo. [166 x 102 x 33 mm]. [2]ff, 240, 120, 221-228, [1], 130-157, [3] pp. Bound in contemporary polished tree calf, smooth spine divided into six panels with gilt compartments composed of a wave roll and fillets, lettered in the second on a red goatskin label, the others with an urn and swag tool, the edges of the boards hatched in blind, plain endleaves, yellow edges. (Offsetting from rear turn-ins to endleaves).

A fine copy. With the large engraved prize label for the Academy, No.10 Old Burlington Street [Mayfair, London] pasted inside the front cover, made out in manuscript to John Williams. The internet is loaded with information on the recent history of the building, including its occupancy as School Dinners Restaurant and Detention Nightclub and its conversion into very expensive offices. The Academy appears to have been forgotten over time.
