[2]ff, xlii, 255 pp. Bound by White of Pall Mall (signed with an ink pallet) in tan goatskin, the covers tooled in gilt with a double fillet border with a floral sprig at the inner corners and at the centre of the front cover the Milnes family crest of a wheatsheaf. The spine divided into six panels with raised bands and gilt compartments, lettered in the second, the others with a small star and darts, the edges of the boards tooled with a gilt double fillet, the turn-ins with gilt rolls, marbled endleaves, gilt edges. Later slipcase.

Printed in an edition of 250 copies. It was first published in Valencia in 1519. A fine copy, bound for Richard Monkton Milnes (1809-1885), and with the bookplate of his son, Robert, 1st Marquess of Crewe (1858-1945). Bought by John Porter from Philadelphia Rare Books in 1993.
