Edited, with an Introductory Essay on Cobden-Sanderson's Life and Ideals, with Details of his American Pupils, and his Lectures on the United States in 1907 by John Dreyfus.

10 illustrations. Title printed in black, red and green.

First Edition. 4to. [275 x 200 x 22 mm]. xi, [vii], 105, [3] pp. Bound by Ursula Hofer (signed in blind on the rear turn-in) in green goatskin, the covers tooled in gilt with a border of three fillets, two of them framing a red goatskin onlay, with a long-stemmed flower with red and burgundy onlays in each corner and a line of dots along the sides. Smooth spine lettered in gilt, with strips of onlaid red goatskin at the head and foot and a flower with red and burgundy onlays, the turn-ins and matching inside joints with two gilt fillets framing a burgundy onlay, green suede doublures and endleaves, plain edges. Contained in a cloth drop-over box lined with green suede and lettered on a goatskin label.
San Francisco: [printed by Saul and Lillian Marks at the Plantin Press, Los Angeles, for] The Book Club of California, 1974.

Limited to 450 copies. A very good copy neatly and attractively bound by Ursula Hofer, a binder who Bernard Middleton remembered meeting in New York.
