A very good copy. Gilt bookplate of Alexander McGrigor to front paste down. There is a manuscript correction in the advertisement for Hero and Leander, with the substitution of Christopher Marlow for Leigh Hunt. An imprint label is bound in at the end.
Number 5 in the 'Select Early English Poets' series edited by S. W. Singer and printed at the Chiswick Press. Glaucus and Silla first published in 1589 and written by the Elizabethan poet Thomas Lodge is notable for strongly influencing Shakespeare's Venus and Adonis.
