(Slightly tanned and marked, head of the spine a little frayed).

Stuart Legg (1910-1988) was a pioneering English documentary filmmaker, famous for writing and directing the 1941 documentary 'Churchill's Island' which went on to become the first-ever documentary to win an Oscar. Also in contention for 'Best Documentary' that year was Legg's film 'Warclouds in the Pacific'. Legg eventually went on to replace Paul Rotha as the head of Strand Films in 1937.
