Smooth spine divided into seven panels by gilt fillets, lettered and dated in the second on a green goatskin label, the others tooled with a repeated wave roll, the edges of the boards and turn-ins tooled with the gilt wave roll, dotted decorative endleaves, gilt edges with gauffering beside the headcaps and at the corners. (Slightly rubbed).

A fine copy, The label is lettered "Therese Bocholtz", with the date 1783. Ownership marks such as these are rare. A Therese Gräfin Bocholtz-Meschede was born in 1772 at Hinnenburg in Westfalen.
