Bound by Bayntun-Riviere c.1960s in blue half morocco over blue cloth boards, the spines divided into six panels by raised bands, lettered in the second and fourth, the rest tooled in gilt with a central device, blue fibrous endpapers, top edge gilt. (Bindings tight and square).

Internally clean, a very good set indeed.

The 'Index' and 'Pepysiana' volumes not included. Considered the fullest and most reliable edition of Pepys' diary until the late 20th century.
