The two volumes were bound by Riviere for Joseph Walter King Eyton (1820-1872), and have his large rectangular bookplate printed in black on a preliminary leaf in each volume, along with his large oval bookplate on the front pastedowns. This is evidence that Eyton continued acquiring and having books choicely bound after the dispersal of his outstanding library in 1848.
