ADVOCATING WOMEN PREACHERS

8vo. [175 x 105 x 42 mm]. Bound c.1875 in green cloth, the spine lettered in gilt, plain endleaves and edges. (A little rubbed and marked).
1798-1844

The contents has been written in manuscript on the front endleaves, and they have the ink stamp of B. B. Le Tall of 20 Bootham, York. The same stamp appears on the title of the first work, along with an ink inscription "Benjamin Le Tall, Woodhouse, Nr. Sheffield, 3rd mo[noth] 1870", which is repeated on the following leaf. There are a few spots and a little light soiling and occasional marginal pencil marks and notes, but the condition is generally good throughout.

An engraving of a view of the house of John Roberts at Siddington near Cirencester has been pasted to the verso of the title. Originally written in 1725 and published in Exeter in 1746, Library Hub locates only a single copy of this1825 edition, at Society of Friends.
