The half-title has been torn and strengthened at the inner margin and the frontispiece has some foxing, but it is a good copy. The folding plate, showing a palette of twelve colours, gives the equivalent French and English names for each - for example, "Brun No.4" becomes "Mixture of Vandyke Brown with Burnt Siena".
