First Edition. 8vo. [205 x 125 x 26 mm]. xxxvi, [ii], 170, [2] pp. Bound c.1920 by "C.L." (signed with gilt initials on rear turn-in) in blue goatskin, the covers tooled in gilt with a wide border of two solid and a dotted fillet and repeated impressions of leafy stems, buds and a Tudor rose. The spine divided into six panels by raised bands, lettered in gilt in the second and third and dated at the foot, the others with a Tudor rose on leafy stems with dots, the edges of the boards tooled with gilt dotted fillet, the turn-ins and matching inside joints with solid and dotted fillets and a Tudor rose, leafy stems and dots in the corners, plain white endleaves, top edge gilt, the others untrimmed. (Small abrasions at foot of spine and rear turn-in, off-setting from turn-ins).

No.283 of a limited edition of 780 copies. It was issued simultaneously in a large-paper edition of 260 copies. A very good copy in an amateur but ambitious binding by the elusive "C.L."
